Netflix has found their Tommy Lee. The streaming service has set in motion the production of a biopic of the band Mötley Crüe, based on their 2001 memoir The Dirt.
While a ton of details have yet to be released, we do know longtime Jackass director Jeff Tremaine will direct the project, based on a script written by Rich Wilkes and Tom Kapinos. Members of the band will also be involved with the film as producers.
As far as who will be playing the band, we do know that rapper Machine Gun Kelly has signed on to portray drummer Tommy Lee.
Machine Gun Kelly is adding to his growing list of acting credits. He appeared in Cameron Crowe’s Roadies, as well as the thriller Nerve.
